Ed Sheeran spends sixth week at the top of UK albums chart

Ed Sheeran’s album ‘x’ is spending its sixth consecutive week at No. 1 in the UK.

Sitting below Ed Sheeran in the top five of the UK albums chart is a non-mover at No. 2 from Dolly Parton with ‘Blue Smoke’, a new entry from Eric Clapton and a host of special guests at No. 3 with  ‘The Breeze’, a tribute to the late JJ Cale, down one to No. 4 is Sam Smith’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’, and also down one is George Ezra with ‘’Wanted On Voyage’ at No. 5.

Other than Eric Clapton & Friends, new entries to the rest of chart come from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers at No. 7 with ‘Hypnotic’, British girl group Neon Jungle have cracked the top ten with their debut album ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ reaching No. 8, and Cher Lloyd’s ‘Sorry I’m Late’ charts at No. 21.
