Ed Sheeran is on course to spend a seventh week in a row at No.1 in the UK.

The singer-songwriter has enjoyed great success with his second album 'x' and the Official Charts Company confirmed in their midweek update today (August 6) that it is still No.1.

At No.2 on the update is Dolly Parton's 'Blue Smoke', whilst Sam Smith's debut 'In The Lonely Hour' rests at No.3.

Charlie Simpson's 'Long Road Home' is a new entry at No.4 and it is followed by George Ezra's 'Wanted On Voyage'.

'Rude' hitmakers Magic! debut at No.9 with their effort 'Don’t Kill The Magic' whilst Pixie Lott's self-titled new entry is No.11.
