Ed Sheeran's 'x' in line to spend eighth week at No.1 in the UK

Ed Sheeran is set to spend another week at the top of the UK albums chart.

On Sunday (August 10) the Brit enjoyed his seventh consecutive week at No.1 in the country with his second album 'x'.

Today (August 13) the Official Charts Company confirmed in their midweek update that it is still No.1.

It is a couple of thousand copies ahead of The Gaslight Anthem's new entry 'Get Hurt'.

At No.3 on the update meanwhile is Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour', whilst OneRepublic's 'Native' is No.4 courtesy of a re-issue.

Completing the the top five is Dolly Parton's 'Blue Smoke'.

Sinead O'Connor's 'I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss' is a new entry at No.11 whilst Loveable Rogues' fellow newbie 'This And That' is No.22.
