Ed Sheeran praises Miley Cyrus: 'She's a fantastic artist'

Ed Sheeran has spoken out in praise of Miley Cyrus.

The US star was reportedly seen mouthing the word "as*hole" when Sheeran walked up to collect the Best Male Video prize at Sunday's (August 24) MTV VMAs, apparently dodging a high-five.

However, the Brit told Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Wednesday (August 27) that there is no feud between himself and Cyrus.

Sheeran said: "Well, I don't know why people were expecting that [high-five]. I've never met her. There was a high-five between me and Scooter [Braun] because I know him, and that was the only high-five. I don't know what people were expecting.

"I think she's a fantastic artist. I think she's got a great voice, writes great songs."

Sheeran bagged the Best Male Video prize for his 'Sing' video.

The track features on his 2014 album 'x', which also includes cuts like 'Don't' and 'One'.
