Ed Sheeran has wrapped up work on a collaboration with Martin Garrix.

The singer-songwriter took to Instagram today (September 2) to confirm the news.

Posting alongside a photo of the duo in a recording studio, the Brit said:

"Finished up my very first EDM song with Martin Garrix, brilliant experience, looking forward to you all hearing it."

Dutch DJ Garrix meanwhile posted his own photo on Twitter, adding:

"Studiotime with @edsheeran I love it!!! #RewindRepeatIt."

Sheeran released his latest album 'x' in June and it spent eight consecutive weeks at the top of the UK chart.
