Ed Sheeran: 'I've started writing new songs for my next album'

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that despite only recently releasing his new record, 'X', he has already been working on his next offering although it probably won't be out until 2016.

Speaking to QMI Agency after his recent gig in Boston, the 'Lego House' superstar admitted that he just loves to create new music so has been working solidly on more material that is likely to be for his next studio album:

"The next thing I'll have out is a collaboration with 'The Game'. I've been working on the follow-up album recently... I've started writing new songs for that so that will be not next year, but possibly the year after that."

Sheeran was also asked about being scouted by Jamie Foxx at an open mic night back in 2010 and explained that it gave him a huge confidence boost, which he applied to his career and hasn't looked back since: "It got the ball rolling from the point of view of it gave me confidence within myself that if I could do that within a month of being in Los Angeles, I could do it in England. I went back with an added flair."
