Ed Sheeran lookalike speaks out: 'I get mistaken for him almost daily'

An Argos employee has spoken out about his apparent similiarity to Ed Sheeran.

Joshua Speed from Sutton Coldfield told the Birmingham Mail that he gets mistaken for the musician almost every day.

However, it seems he isn't fussed by the attention.

Speed said: "It started when I was in college. One of my teachers used to call me Ed. It was before I really knew who he was. I did some research and thought ‘Okay, I can see that’ and it started to become more frequent. I’d say I get mistaken for him almost daily so it happens quite a lot.

“It doesn’t bother me at all, I actually think it’s quite funny. At least it’s someone whose actually quite good and not some drug addict."

The 23-year-old added that he isn't looking to make any money out of his resemblance to the singer-songwriter.

He said: "I know people do that, but it’s not for me. I couldn’t be a full-time celebrity lookalike."
