Ed Sheeran has backed Taylor Swift after she suggested people are 'sexist' towards her lyrical content.

The singer has developed a reputation over the years for writing about failed romance.

This has gained a lot of attention and Swift recently said in an interview that male artists' lyrics don't get the same levels of attention despite similar themes.

Ed Sheeran told The Sun in a new interview that he believes Swift is correct.

He said: "She's right, man - she gets a tougher rap than other people. No-one talks about Bruno Mars' or my lyrics like that."

The duo meanwhile previously collaborated on the track 'Everything Has Changed', which features on Swift's 2012 record 'Red'.
