Ed Sheeran has revealed himself as a fan of X Factor's Andrea Faustini.

The singer-songwriter told The Sun that he has been left impressed by the contestant's ability as well as his nature.

The 'x' star said: "I texted Cowell about the Italian dude because I think he is fantastic.

"I like his love of pugs as well that he gives no f**k and wears whatever he wants."

In the same interview Sheeran said that he thinks some people are sexist when it comes to talking about Taylor Swift's lyrics.

He said: "She's right, man - she gets a tougher rap than other people. No-one talks about Bruno Mars' or my lyrics like that."
