Ed Sheeran: 'Being English goes a long way in America, but I didn't benefit from it sexually'

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has opened up about the time he spent in Hollywood and explained that people took more notice of him because they thought he was "kooky and fun" with his accent and nationality.

During a new interview with Q magazine, the hitmaker confessed that there's something about being English in America that really elevates your appeal so he made the most of every opportunity that came his way while he was over in the U.S.:

"Being English just goes a long way in Hollywood. I benefited from it, not sexually, professionally! Everyone thinks you’re kooky and fun. I was at parties, meeting people and thought, 'All this could end tomorrow, I better do it all now'. I did everything I should’ve done – and everything I shouldn’t."

Talking about how he likes to spend his downtime, the 'Thinking Out Loud' superstar also admitted that "on a day off I’ll just watch films and eat chocolate in my underwear," and went onto add that he buys his boxers from a low-priced clothing store: "Primark. No one sees them, they're only meant to keep your junk in."
