British sensation Ed Sheeran recently filmed a segment for 'Top Gear' and reportedly crashed 'a reasonably priced car' while on set. 

The 'Lego House' hitmaker took to his official Twitter page this morning (January 23) and explained that it was his first time driving a car and simply went off road. He tweeted: "I didn't crash on top gear, I went off road. Was my first time driving ever. Tune in Sunday to see what actually happened."

The episode is due to air in the UK this coming Sunday, January 25 and he also told his followers that he "had a brilliant time filming" his parts for the programme.  

Sheeran, meanwhile, is up for a prize at the 2015 BRIT Awards and will go head-to-head with the likes of Sam Smith, Damon Albarn, Paolo Nutini, and George Ezra for the British Male Solo Artist title. The BRITs will take place on February 25 in London.
