Ed Sheeran has landed a guest role in Home Away.

A rep for the Australian soap confirmed that he will play himself in the series.

They said: "He will appear as himself in the series. But storyline details about what brings Ed to Summer Bay are being kept under wraps for now."

Sheeran was snapped recently in Australia filming for the programme.

He was pictured alongside Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn Chambers in the soap.

The singer-songwriter meanwhile has released the video for his latest single 'Bloodstream'.

The track will be released in the UK on March 29.
