Ed Sheeran is 'chuffed' with two billion streams on Spotify achievement

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran had reached two billion streams on Spotify.

The only other artist in the world to have achieved the same feat is Eminem, and Sheeran has now revealed that the news came as a wonderful surprise to him. He tweeted (April 21): "2 billion streams on spotify is nuts too. Well chuffed with that."

The 'Lego House' sensation also told his 13.4 million followers on the social media site that he will head to Australia and New Zealand later this year to play a run of stadium shows: "Coming back to Australia and NZ in November to play stadiums, that's crazy. Tickets go on sale in a week or so."

Sheeran recently admitted that he's hoping for a 'Game Of Thrones' cameo at some point in the near future and is putting all his energy into convincing the show's directors and producers to agree to it: "There were talks ages ago of me being an extra, which could have been cool. But every time they shoot it's the time I tour the UK. [But]I've got that time off this year, I'm going to hound them."
