Ed Sheeran announces record-setting upcoming Australia and New Zealand tour

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has just announced details of a New Zealand and Australian stadium tour and it should secure him a place in the record books.

The 'Thinking Out Loud' sensation told his 13.4 million followers on social media site Twitter about the run of dates yesterday and tweeted: "Coming back to Australia and NZ in November to play stadiums, that's crazy. Tickets go on sale in a week or so."

Tour promoter Frontier Touring has since revealed that the jaunt will see him become the first-ever musician to perform an Australian and New Zealand stadium tour entirely solo. Sheeran is confirmed to play Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on November 28, then he will visit Perth, Melbourne and Sydney before wrapping things up on December 12 at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium.

Tickets are due to go on sale next month on May 5 and details can be found on the Frontier Touring website.
