Ed Sheeran covers Iron Maiden and Limp Bizkit

Ed Sheeran has tried his hand at covering some rock and metal classics.

The singer-songwriter was tasked by US TV show host Jimmy Fallon to give short renditions of some unfamiliar genres.

He ran through a section of Iron Maiden's iconic 1982 track 'Run To The Hills'.

Sheeran also performed a part of Limp Bizkit's anger-anthem 'Break Stuff'.

The Brit also tried performing rapper Ty Dolla $ign's 'Paranoid'.

Sheeran meanwhile recently said that he would love to overtake friend Taylor Swift in terms of US success.

He said: "I think it would take a lot more work because she’s obviously been going about 10 years more than me.

“If I passed her, I think she’d then get more competitive and do more stuff. I think it would only be healthy. Like her surpassing me in sales in the U.S., that’s healthy for me because I now want to get up to that point.”
