Ed Sheeran album spends one year in Australian chart top ten

Ed Sheeran's 'x' is celebrating spending a year in the Australian albums chart top ten.

The singer released the record in 2014, but it is still shifting bucketloads of copies across the globe.

The album jumped three places this week on Australia's ARIA chart to No.2.

This means that 'x' has now enjoyed 52 weeks in the chart's top ten since it debuted at No.1 52 weeks ago.

The lowest week it has had so far was when it dropped to No.10 in September.

The last record to have a year-long run in the top ten was Adele's '21', which spent 65 weeks in the chart's upper echelon.
