Ed Sheeran turned down the chance to create a fragrance

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that he recently turned down the opportunity to create and launch his very own fragrance.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the 'Photograph' sensation admitted that he wasn't interested in the business proposal because he didn't think it'd sell very well as he's often photographed out in public looking like he 'doesn't wash'.

Sheeran joked: "Someone was asking me about setting up my own perfume the other day... I think I look like I don't wash. I do shower twice a day but I don't think anyone would buy a perfume."

As previously reported, the hitmaker is working on a brand new album and has teased that he has already written around 50 tracks in total: "I've done 40 - maybe more like 50 songs already, and I'm not planning to release it for another year and a half, so I want to do a few more. Because there's even more pressure now for this album. When you have a whole company depending on one thing, if I don't release the goods, it's going to be awkward."
