Ed Sheeran would be upset if he wasn't nominated for MTV VMAs

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was recently announced as one of the nominees of this year's MTV VMAs, but there's one prize in particular he really wants.

The superstar has a total of six nominations at this year’s Video Music Awards, but the one title he really wants to win is Video of the Year. Speaking to Global’s Kevin Hughes this week, Sheeran explained:

“If ‘Thinking Out Loud’ didn’t get nominated I would be really upset, because I won a VMA for ‘Sing’. It was a fun video but it wasn’t, like, my proudest moment whereas ‘Thinking Out Loud’ is the one video I look at and go ‘I actually worked hard for that video’. All the other videos I didn’t work hard for and I’ve won awards for all the other videos so I think if I didn’t for ‘Thinking Out Loud’ I’d be pretty upset.”

He's up for Video Of The Year, Best Male Video, Best Pop Video, Best Choreography, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing. This year's MTV VMAs will take place on August 30 at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
