Ed Sheeran: 'One Direction don't need me to write for them anymore'

'Thinking Out Loud' sensation Ed Sheeran has revealed that he probably won't write another song for One Direction in the future because the boyband no longer needs that kind of help from him.

The star penned 'Little Things' for the lads a few years ago and has now told MTV News that 1D have come a long way and really know how to get the most out of their sound:

"They've gotten to a point where they know how to write songs. Harry was 16 when I first met him, but now he's 21 and has written with everyone in the world and learned how to write songs, so they don't really need as much help anymore. They can kind of do their own thing."

One Direction recently announced their new album 'Made In The A.M.', which will be released on November 13, and confessed that they had a significant amount of creative control on this offering: "We took a lot of time out to write and we're very proud of it. It's definitely our favourite... The best thing about this album is that we all went away in different directions and wrote with a lot of different people, then put it all together. It's the most we've written on all together."
