Ed Sheeran: 'The songs on my new album are a bit too brutally honest'

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has teased a few details about his next studio album, which will be the follow-up offering to his record-breaking 'x'.

During a new interview with Billboard, the superstar explained that he is certain this record will be not only his most personal, but his most successful yet:

"There's a lot more heart in it. It's a lot more honest than the last record."

"The last record was honest. There was a couple of songs like 'The Man', which I kind of wish I didn't put on. But there's probably seven songs on this new record that I wish I didn't put on when I release it. They're all a bit too brutally honest."

He went onto add that this album will probably be his defining release: “I know this third record's going to be better than anything I've done. I'm positive that this is going to be the really big one.”
