Ed Sheeran has been announced for this year's ARIA Awards.

The singer-songwriter will hit the stage at Sydney’s The Star on November 26.

The Brit said: "I’ll see you at the ARIAs."

"I’ve never been to the ARIAs, I’ve wanted to go every single year, so this is quite exciting.”

Sheeran is nominated for the best international artist prize at the awards.

He is joined on the bill by the likes of Conrad Sewell and Vance Joy.

The singer-songwriter meanwhile has been speaking about his plans to take a break from the limelight next year.

Sheeran suggested that he could spend around nine months out of action after working a busy schedule for years.
