Ed Sheeran: 'I got turned down by every label when I started out'

'Thinking Out Loud' sensation Ed Sheeran has revealed that he got turned down by "every label" before hitting his stride and getting people's attention.

During a new interview with Rolling Stone Australia, the superstar admitted that any part of fame is getting knocked back and confessed that he thinks everyone who has 'made it' suffered a blow at some point in their career:

"The Beatles got turned down, the Rolling Stones got turned down, Taylor Swift got turned down... every big act has been knocked back by some record label: that's just how life is. I was turned down by every label... I got turned down by the label I'm on now! I guess I wasn't a good proposition."

Sheeran added: "But the moment things start going well you don't ever really need to do a two-fingered 'F**k you!' to anyone, because it's self-explanatory."
