Ed Sheeran has revealed that his dad didn't believe that Princess Beatrice accidentally clipped his face with a sword as she prepared to knight him.

During an interview with Graham Norton, which aired in the UK last night (January 20), the singer-songwriter confessed that his father didn't think the story was true when he first told him about it:

"I remember telling my dad about it and he didn’t believe me. (He said), 'No, what really happened?'"

When asked to share more details about the incident, Sheeran said: "I can’t talk about it. I don’t know what will happen if I do! There weren’t a lot of people there that night. For two weeks after, I had a huge gash on my face and would tell people I fell and then suddenly, the story came out... The alleged story came out."
