Ed Sheeran says Harry Styles will 'show himself off as an artist and singer' on solo album

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that Harry Styles' forthcoming debut solo album is "quality".

He told Britain's Heat magazine that the record will showcase Styles' abilities as an artist: "I've heard a little bit. It really shows him off as an artist and a singer, which is what it was always going to be. I can't say too much about it as it's not my project, and I've got no idea when it's coming out. It's quality."

Earlier this month, the CEO of Columbia Records Rob Stringer told Billboard that the album is almost finished: "We're close and we're very excited. We have a record we're incredibly excited about and it’s not far away from being ready. We obviously want everything to be beautifully done, because we think he's here to stay. Harry has stepped up with the vision of someone who's authentic."

Sheeran, meanwhile, is set to perform live on March 28 at London's Royal Albert Hall as part of the upcoming Teenage Cancer Trust gig series.
