Ed Sheeran shows off rap skills on New York radio show

Ed Sheeran has shown off his rap skills on The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 FM.

The 'Shape of You' hitmaker admitted to the New York radio show that he's a big hip-hop and rap fan.

Sheeran revealed: "I really, really like Nicky Minaj's music."

He then proceeded to rap Nicki Minaj‘s part of Kanye West's song, "Monster," during the on air interview.

The British star got into the booze with the show's morning hosts, whilst weighing in on Minaj’s recent beef with Remy Ma, booze, the differences between Americans and Brits with social drinking, personal family life, his grandmother's recent passing, penchant for watches, and how he stays grounded by keeping a small circle of close friends.

Sheeran released his third album "➗" last week. The LP is the follow up to 2011’s "➕" and 2014’s "✖️". The album is currently sitting at the top of the UK charts, with the singer also occupying 16 of the top 20 spaces in the Singles Chart.

Also during the interview, Sheeran announced that he is forming his own boy band, as well as planning a movie and soundtrack.
