Ed Sheeran reveals studio writing sessions with Snow Patrol

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has opened up about the new material he's been working on in the studio and explained that he has spent time writing with rockers Snow Patrol.

In a new interview with American gossip lover Perez Hilton, the 'Lego House' sensation revealed that inspiration for new music is finally coming thick and fast, and he's been enjoying writing sessions with the 'Chasing Cars' lads:

"I've done around 20 new songs for the new album and I've been writing a lot with the Snow Patrol boys as well."

He recently toured the US in support of Snow Patrol, but was forced to cancel the remaining scheduled dates due to "personal reasons" and the Scottish band's frontman, Gary Lightbody, wrote a blog post about having Sheeran along for the ride:

"He has lit up the tour and our lives and is a brother of ours forever. He already rules the uk charts. He will rule the world by the end of the year. I guarantee it."
