Ed Sheeran reveals embarrassing festival snub
Flame-haired singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has recalled a particularly embarrassing moment that happened to him while at one of the UK's biggest music festivals last year.
The hitmaker achieved great success with his breakthrough single 'The A Team', but he revealed that a certain food vendor at Glastonbury didn't see the appeal of the track and snubbed it in front of him as it played on the radio:
"I was at Glastonbury last year, it was just after it had entered the charts, and I went over to a falfel cart, and there was as big queue, and we waiting in line for about 15 minutes."
"As we got to the end of the line, 'The A Team' was playing on the radio and I was like, 'oh, sick, yeah,' but the man behind the counter just went, 'uuuh' and changed the station. It was funny."
When asked about his reaction to the awkward incident, Sheeran admitted he kept his head down and proceeded to buy his lunch:
"I didn't say anything because it was a tiny bit embarrassing, because he obviously didn't like it at all and so for me to go up to him and say, 'I wrote that' he'd probably just spit in my falafel or something. So I got a slice of pizza instead anyway."
