Ed Sheeran confirms U.S. headlining tour

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has announced details of a full headlining tour of the USA.

The 'Small Bump' sensation, who recently celebrated another career milestone after his album '+' went quadruple Platinum in the UK, will kick off the impressive run of dates in Boston on September 19 and is due to finish on October 6 in Seattle.

His forthcoming stateside autumn tour has been named the 'VH1 You Oughta Know Tour with Ed Sheeran' and he will visit major U.S. cities including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.

Sheeran is confirmed to perform later this evening (June 4) at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert alongside the likes of JLS and Sir Paul McCartney, and tweeted a message to let his fans know that he is getting a little nervous:

"So apparently 1 billion people are tuning in tonight. no pressure then."
