Ed Sheeran confirms Taylor Swift tour support slot

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that he will head out on tour next year with 'Begin Again' songstress Taylor Swift as her main support act.

The 'Lego House' sensation collaborated with Swift on her new album, for a track called 'Everything Has Changed', and has agreed to be her opening act for her upcoming north American tour. Writing on his official Twitter page over the weekend, he explained:

"Happy to announce that I am special guest on @taylorswift13's tour of North America next year, cannot wait!! 9 stadiums and 36 arenas. Gonna be bonks."

Sheeran recently praised Swift and explained that she surprised him because he expected her to "have a douchebag pass" as a result of her fame and success:

"Taylor Swift's one of those people who is the biggest selling female artist in the world right now, like her last record sold just as much as Adele's, which is pretty mental to think. When I first met her I expected her to be one of these artists that is kind of allowed to have a douchebag pass, but she was just like the loveliest person that I've met."
