Ed Sheeran annoyed at Grammy tickets snub

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is annoyed that he hasn't got a plus one to the prestigious Grammy awards next week.

The chart-topping star is nominated in the 'Song of the Year' category for his acclaimed single 'The A-Team,' and is also set to perform with Sir Elton John on the night.

Despite his presence at the coveted ceremony, Sheeran has been denied tickets for his friends and family.

Speaking to The Daily Star, the red-headed singer explained: "I’m going to be at the Grammys but I only got one ticket. I wanted to take my whole family. I’m just one person, so I’m going to be there on my own.”

21-year-old Sheeran recently explained how the collaboration with Sir Elton came to be, revealing: "He put it together. He rung me up one day and said, 'How would you feel about performing with me at the Grammys?' I was like, 'I'll check my schedule'."
