The British songstress teamed up with Calvin Harris for track 'I Need Your Love', which featured on the Scottish DJ's 2012 record '18 Months'.

The pair were filming the new video in Miami recently when Goulding admits she felt uncomfortable with "flaunting" her figure.

Speaking to British magazine Closer, the star explained: "I was taking time out to relax by the pool, then I spotted a photographer and ran away! I'd never take my clothes off for a video! I don't believe in flaunting myself, but I like to keep fit."

Speaking to Capital FM about the promo recently, Goulding said:

"It's funny pretending to be someone's girlfriend for the day! It's very strange. But, you know, me and Calvin are such good friends, we just had a laugh. We talked about it, we knew what the concept was, and we were just texting and laughing about it, thinking it was funny."

She explained: "Next year is going to be so much [touring], so many shows. It's just going to continue.

Ellie Goulding hopes to avoid arena tours

British songstress Ellie Goulding has admitted that she much prefers performing in small venues because arenas just don't have the same atmosphere and sense of intimacy.

During an interview with BBC's Newsbeat, the 'Starry Eyed' hitmaker revealed that although she has played gigs at arenas in the past she didn't like the feeling the space gave her so wants to continue doing shows in more low-key clubs:

"Is it weird that I don't like the idea of an arena tour? If I can just get away with doing lots of smaller venues… Like Brixton Academy is my dream."

I've always wanted to play Brixton Academy and now I am and it's mental. But I don't think I want to do arenas to be honest. I've played arenas supporting other artists but it's not really for me to be honest. They're just a bit boring and a bit rubbish. Sorry arena people."

Goulding is set to begin a small UK headlining tour next month on December 7 at the Bristol Academy and she will close the short run of dates on December 12 at London's Brixton Academy.

Ellie Goulding to appear in Geordie Shore

Ellie Goulding is set to star in British reality show Geordie Shore.

The 'Halcyon' singer is fan of the series and enjoyed a night out with some of the cast earlier this year.

Speaking to The Sun, star of the show Vicky Pattison revealed that Goulding spoke of her enthusiasm for Geordie Shore when they met up in Newcastle after one of her gigs.

It soon turned into a cameo on the show, which is set to be aired when the programme's new series returns next month. Pattison said:

"Ellie was doing a show at the Metro arena and she came to the same club we were in afterwards and made a beeline for us. She wasted no time telling us what a massive fan she is and went into depth talking about storylines and everything."

She continued: "So in the end we gave her a cameo. She was a lovely girl, and it was great to meet her and have her involved with the show."

Goulding has previously spoken about her love of Geordie Shore, saying: "I'm obsessed with it. They just live to party, go and get tans, go to the gym and go out drinking, but I love it. I think my friends think I’m a bit weird. It's fascinating."

Ellie Goulding: 'I played new 'break-up' album for my ex-boyfriend and he loved it'

Songstress Ellie Goulding has admitted that in order to dispell or prevent any bad feelings between her and her ex-boyfriend she played him the songs from her new album to get his approval.

Goulding recently revealed that despite not intending to write about romance, a lot of the tracks that make up her new record 'Halcyon' are themed around love and it turned into something of a "break up album", so she played them to her former lover, Radio 1's Greg James, before it was released to the public:

"I suppose it is kind of a break-up album, although I didn’t mean it that way. It’s just an album based around the last couple of years, when I’ve had a lot to think about. Because he’s well known people are always going to be interested. He’s such a lovely person. Greg and I are mates, and I played him some of the new songs, and he loved them."

When asked if she has enjoyed her rise to fame, Goulding joked that she can't over-indulge because the risk of losing or damaging her voice is too big: "I can’t really afford to get wasted all the time, to be honest. I like to drink and I have smoked, and I like to have fun, but I’m so scared of losing my voice because it’s my everything. It’s the one thing that I use... I have to have this."

Ellie Goulding wants full album with Skrillex

Ellie Goulding has revealed that she wants to make a full album with boyfriend Skrillex.

The pair collaborated on the track 'Summit' earlier this year and the 'Lights' star told the AP that she wants to go one further and work on a full record.

She added that they are wholly professional when it comes to talking about music. The British singer said:

"I think in an ideal world we'd love to make a whole record together...but it just so happens that we're both ridiculously busy. When it comes to music, it honestly is really professional. Honestly."

Goulding continued: "If we start talking about music on the phone, it switches immediately to being professional, and not on purpose, but because we're both so passionate about music and it's a very serious thing to us. But at the same time we've had fun making stuff, and I have fun listening to his new stuff because it blows my mind and it's so clever to me, so fascinating it makes me want to laugh, and I laugh because it's so brilliant. He's listened to a lot of my stuff in the early stages. It's really good to have one person, regardless of whether they're a musician or not, it's good to have one person to keep referencing to and asking [his or her] opinion. He's definitely been good to have around during the making of [new album] 'Halcyon'."

Ellie Goulding says her new record 'Halcyon' is 'tribal and more anthemic'

'Starry Eyed' songstress Ellie Goulding has admitted that her new record is different that what fans would expect from her and she has made it more "tribal".

Speaking to MTV News about 'Halcyon', which has just been released, Goulding explained that she wanted to travel a different route with her sound so experimented and came up with something that had a more "anthemic" appeal than the music on her debut, 'Lights':

"I've got more influences and different influences. I think it's a different sound. It is kind of a bit more tribal, a bit more anthemic." Referring to the record's lyrical content, she added: "In fact, if anything, I thought, 'this album I'm not going to talk about boys or talk about love, I'm going to talk about a different kind of love, I'm going to talk about other stuff.'"

"But as I started writing it, it was at a time in my life where that was happening and it ended up being an album about losing someone and breaking up with someone. But it was not my intent."
