Ellie Goulding set to spend another week at top of UK albums chart

Ellie Goulding's 'Halcyon' is on course to top the UK albums chart for a second week.

The Brit's 2012 effort hit No.1 for the first time last weekend as a result of its 2013 re-issue 'Halcyon Days' performing well post-Christmas.

It gave Goulding her second No.1 record of her career, following on from her 2010 debut 'Lights'.

The Official Charts Company have revealed today (January 8) that the album looks set to stay at No.1 - but it's only 700 copies ahead of Beyoncé's self-titled effort.

At No.3 meanwhile on the midweek update is Gary Barlow's 'Since I Saw You Last', which has dropped one place.

At No.4 is John Newman's 'Tribute' whilst Bastille's 'Bad Blood' re-emerges at No.5.

There is only one new entry in this week's UK albums chart - Kid Ink's 'My Own Lane', which currently sits at No.30.
