Ellie Goulding clings to the No.1 spot on the UK singles chart

Songstress Ellie Goulding has managed to retain her No.1 position on today's (February 18) midweek singles chart update with 'Love Me Like You Do'.

Despite currently being in the lead, Goulding is challenged by Hozier with his anthemic song 'Take Me To Church', which is close behind at No.2 this afternoon. Hozier's track first entered the Top 100 26 weeks ago and has been steadily climbing ever since.

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' million-selling single 'Uptown Funk' is at No.3, R&B singer The Weeknd has risen 10 to No.4 with his 'Fifty Shades of Grey' song 'Earned It', and Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s FourFiveSeconds completes the Top 5.

Elsewhere on the UK Top 40, dance trio Luvbug are new at Number 7 with 'Revive (Say Something)' and Bars and Melody, who finished third in last year’s series of 'Britain’s Got Talent', have made an appearance with 'Keep Smiling'.
