Ellie Goulding talks new album progress: 'It's going well'

Ellie Goulding says her new album sessions are "going well".

The singer is working on the follow-up to her 2013 effort 'Halcyon'.

Speaking to Capital FM, the Brit said that she isn't rushing the creation of her next record.

Goulding said: "[The album's] going well. I'm just trying to take my time a bit more, this year my focus is solely about getting my record finished."

Talking meanwhile about the chart-topping success of latest single 'Love Me Like You Do', the singer said:

"This song has just gone absolutely bonkers. It's just surreal, I can't even fathom it right now. I feel like the luckiest person in the world.

"When I'm like 'this song means everything to me, it has to do well' and it doesn't do as well as I think then it's so sad. But when I'm like 'Well, I hope it does good but I'm not going to go crazy about it when it doesn't', and it does, I'm like, 'how does the psychology work on this?'."
