Ellie Goulding denies tabloid reports about stealing a designer dress

Ellie Goulding has forthrightly denied a report in a tabloid newspaper today (July 19) that she is responsible for a designer dress going missing.

The Daily Mirror this morning claimed that a dress by Italian designer Cristiano Burani was not returned to the fashion house after it was loaned to the ‘Love Me Like You Do’ star for her Royal Variety Performance back in November 2014.

The Mirror reports that the Italian label is demanding the singer pay for the missing dress which costs 4868 euros.

However, Goulding quickly took to Twitter saying: “I've never worn or seen this dress in my life.”

Ellie’s manager has also denied that the fashion house has made contact with Goulding’s team about the matter – as claimed in the newspaper story.
