Ellie Goulding: 'I didn't think I could sing when I was younger'

British songstress Ellie Goulding has confessed that when she was younger she doubted her own vocal ability.

The 'Anything Could Happen' hitmaker told Grazia magazine that in a way she wishes her music career could have began a lot earlier, but was put off trying to launch it because of her self-doubt:

"I wish I'd pursued music a little earlier and taken it more seriously. I didn't believe I could sing or would go anywhere!"

Despite this niggling regret, Goulding admitted that she is really happy with the way her life has panned out so wouldn't change anything if she had the opportunity to:

"There is nothing I'd change. Not even travelling around, because if I was at home I'd be moaning that I wasn't on the road. I'd be wary to change anything."
