Emeli Sandé and Adele are biggest selling albums of 2012 so far

Emeli Sandé is on course to land the accolade for the UK's biggest selling album this year.

The Scottish singer and songwriter released her debut record 'Our Version of Events' in February this year and it is currently the top selling record of 2012 with 928,000 sales.

Adele's chart behemoth '21' and Lana Del Rey's sultry 'Born To Die' are the second and third best selling albums in the country this year respectively.

Completing the top five of the list are Ed Sheeran's debut release '+' at No.4 and Coldplay's 'Mylo Xyloto' at No.5.

Other notable inclusions on the list include Mumford & Sons' new release 'Babel', which lands at No.6, and One Direction's 2011 debut 'Up All Night', which charts at No.10.
