Bath born singer is preparing to ‘Rhyze.’

31 year old Kerri Mackay has been working with The Famous Company for the past 4 years perfecting her craft as a singer and songwriter. Originally from Frome, Kerri graduated from Bath Spa University with a degree in commercial music in 2007. Whilst at university, Kerri was a regular performer at the student union and popular venues such as Moles and Porter Cellar Bar, performing a mix of original material and cover tracks. After graduating, Kerri went on to take part in a number of musical projects around the Bath area before auditioning in 2012 to join The Famous Company as a member of a new girl band being recruited from the Somerset area.

At The Famous Company Kerri worked with a top 40 chart songwriter and various other music industry photographers, stylists and coaches to create a girl band which would go onto become Love Beats Riot. As the lead singer and main songwriter of the band, Kerri had the opportunity to perform alongside a number of big names including Cascada and X Factor's Lucy Spraggan and Kingsland Road with performances in Bristol, Swansea, London and Essex to audiences of over 10,000 people.

Last year, Kerri decided that the time was right for her to step out from the girl band and relaunch as 'Rhyze,' a new solo artist. Kerri's natural flair for current charts song writing allowed her to write original material in a dance-pop genre which has dominated the charts for the past few years. With her soulful tone lending itself to bass heavy dance tracks which she wrote herself, she was given the opportunity to collaborate with international producer Cutmore on a remix of her debut track 'Into The Darkness'. Cutmore's has previously worked with big names like Beyonce, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Alicia Keys to name just a few.

The remix of Kerri's track was released on iTunes and Spotify at the beginning of April and is already very popular. As part of the club promotion, organised by the Famous Company, DJ's across the UK’s nightclub scene will be playing her new single over the next 10 weeks.

Kerri said, "I have been really fortunate to work with some really great people within the music industry in the past few years. Although I loved being in a girl band, I always knew that my heart was in being a solo performer. Releasing my own original music as Rhyze is a dream come true and I am really excited about plans for the rest of 2016. I think it goes to show that with the right people behind you anything is possible".

Later this year Kerri will be recording her first music video for her new single which is expected to be released in November. Kerri will also be performing at a number of events and venues all over the UK this summer.
