Blitzkrieg City: Year Round-up

It’s been a busy 2016 for Bristolian-based punk-rockers Blitzkrieg City. After rounding off 2015 with an award win for their debut EP, ‘Another Broken Day’, there was certainly a lot of pressure on the band to keep that momentum going. But kept it going they have.

Getting the ball rolling with the release of their anticipated follow-up single, “Away”, the lads then released their summer EP, ‘Today’s Society Taught Through Riotry’, which garnered plenty of radio play from across the pond as well as featuring regularly on independent stations in the UK.

The positive reception of the EP prompted the trio back into the studio to start work on their latest EP ‘Take Me With You’, which arrived off the back of wrapping up tours in both the UK and Germany in November.

When asked for a personal highlight, frontman Danny Pugh couldn’t look past Germany, where he fondly remembers playing their adrenaline-fuelled set to packed-out venues in all the major cities.

Currently, Blitzkrieg are preparing to see in the New Year with a special B-side lyrics video for one of their tracks alongside journeying down under for an acoustic performance later that same month.
