A group of Bristol-based alt-rockers could have a life beyond their wildest dreams after being announced as one of five finalists of Virgin Radio’s FreshFest earlier today.

After relentlessly touring the UK throughout most of last year, you’d think that British rock trio Beyond Recall would be running on empty by the time 2017 came around. Well, you’re wrong.

Having struck a chord with fans through their slick blend of Don Bronco and Panic! At The Disco back in 2010, the boys soon gathered national support when their single “Up Up!” breezed to No. 1 on Scuzz TV’s Most Wanted Rock Chart.

Despite releasing their compelling sophomore EP Selfish Scars on Friday the 13th of January, then, it seems there’s no superstition surrounding their recent rise to fame. Only 6 weeks into 2017, the band have already been playlisted by diehard rock devotees Scuzz and Kerrang, making them confident that this will be their breakthrough year.

Since learning that they were amongst this year’s finalists, frontman Zaid said “to make the finals of this competition is an amazing start to 2017 for us. We’ve already been playlisted on Kerrang and Scuzz, so to now be in the final for FreshFest is amazing. We’re asking everyone to support us by casting their vote on the Virgin Radio website.”

The prize package includes the chance to perform at Virgin Radio FreshFest supporting Dan Croll and play of ‘Get It Right’ on various shows across Virgin Radio. Entries close on Monday (27th).
