5H's Lauren Jauregui: 'I'm a rock chick at heart'

Fifth Harmony are known for their pop-infused songs, but songstress Lauren Jauregui has revealed that she much prefers rock music.

Speaking to The Official Charts Company in Britain, the beauty explained that her own personal taste in music is different to the material she releases with the group and described herself as a 'rock chick':

"Personally, I enjoy rock/indie/alternative music and mellow R&B like Drake. Camila is really into pop music, Ally’s taste is all over the place and Normani and Dinah are really into old school R&B. I listen to a lot of Paramore, and James Vincent McMorrow, The 1975 and Ben Howard. John Mayer is one of my favourite artists of all time. I’m a rock chick at heart, but I genuinely love the music we’re making as Fifth Harmony."

Earlier this week, member Camila Cabello admitted that she prefers acoustic/indie music and might be tempted by that in the future: "Yeah, I really really like indie, alternative music. I like a lot of acoustic singer-songwriters but as far as music I want to pursue, I feel like there’s so many genres that I haven’t really sunk my teeth into yet, time can only tell you know? I think there’s something fascinating about every song."

The girls, meanwhile, will make an appearance on 'The X Factor' in England on December 7 where they will perform their new single 'Sledgehammer' live.
