Fifth Harmony on being an all-female group in the U.S.A: 'Americans don't like girls'

'Sledgehammer' hitmakers Fifth Harmony have revealed that the USA doesn't take too well to girl groups and they've found it difficult to raise their profile there.

When asked about being a girl band in the U.S., member Lauren Jauregui admitted to The Official Charts Company that it's been a tough market to crack as Americans 'dont seem to like girls', but they will try their hardest to keep doing what they're doing:

"Tell me about it. Americans just don’t like girls! Hopefully we’re the right girl band to change that. They’ve embraced girl bands before, I’m sure they will again."

She was also quizzed on what she takes on tour and revealed that the one thing she can't go on the road without is her sketchbook: "It’s mostly essentials, but I always have a book to read and my sketchbook. But If I don’t have it, I’d go crazy! The sketchbook definitely takes up space, but I love painting and drawing, so it’s like a little escape from the everyday madness.”
