Fifth Harmony: 'If we were solo artists, our albums would all sound completely different'

'Sledgehammer' stars Fifth Harmony are enjoying a fast rise to global fame and the girls have opened up about what makes them different from the other girl groups out there at the moment.

Speaking to Blinkbox recently, beauty Camila Cabello admitted that the different cultures that each member brings to the group helps to set them apart from their contemporaries:

"I think for us, it’s the fact that we’re so different. We’re five girls from completely different cultures. There’s Polynesian, there’s Cuban, there’s Mexican, there’s African-American. We like all different kinds of genres – there’s R&B lovers, pop lovers, rock lovers."

When asked if they always agree on which direction to take their music in, Cabello added: "If we weren’t in a group and we all made solo albums, they would all sound completely different. But I think in the group we have an idea of what we want the sound to be like, and we have to kind of compromise and meet in the middle for the sake of the group sound."
