Fifth Harmony's Camila to fans: 'You have a support system in us'

Songstress Camila Cabello, of Fifth Harmony fame, has opened up about the importance of acceptance and revealed that the LGBTQ community can rely on her group to support and love them.

The beauty, who recently spoke out in support of a transgender fan named Joey who had changed her name to Camila Joe in celebration of the 5H singer, admitted to Sugarscape that if there's something she can do to help, she will go out of her way to do it:

"It's so important to do anything we can do. I feel like there's still a lot of people that don't expect that in society and make it really difficult for other people to be themselves, love themselves and be brave enough to show who they are because it takes a lot of guts to speak up and say 'this is who I am.'"

"We've had a lot of fans that also don't have support even from inside their own homes. Their friends don't support them as transgender or being part of the LGBT community and the family don't either, sometimes. We just say 'hey, we accept and support you. You have a support system in us.' I think that means a lot to them and helps them a lot. It's so important to do that."

"They need support from somewhere, because it's the worst feeling in the world being alone. It takes one friend or one person to speak up and say 'hey, I got your back' and all of a sudden you feel like you could do anything in the world."
