Fifth Harmony star: 'X Factor was one of the best experiences of my life'

Fifth Harmony singer Dinah Jane Hansen has reflected on her time on the US X Factor.

The girl group were pieced together on the TV talent show in 2012.

They have since released debut album 'Reflection' and have become a global success.

Speaking to Sugarscape about when she has felt 'worth it', Hansen said that being in a group with her Fifth Harmony bandmates is the "best feeling".

The singer said: "I think when we were placed together on The X Factor, that was a big moment for me. The fact that I was with these four other girls, that made us feel worth a lot. That was one of the best experiences I've ever had in my life.

"I never thought that this would ever happen. It's funny because you go into this show thinking you're going to be a solo act and thinking you're going to focus on yourself, but no. Everything changed. Everything did a 360. It's awesome.

"Us girls were all talking before we were placed together. We were mingling around and we all knew each other; so when we were placed together we were like 'I know this girl, I really do like her, she's cool anyways.' There was chemistry built already.

"I started singing when I was in church choir. My mum and my brother both sing and they were in a group as well. I grew up always listening to them and harmonising. I grew up with that experience and from that I thought 'I wanna be in a group too.' I grew up trying to be in their group, but I wasn't as good as them.

"It's so much fun to be on that stage knowing you have all these other four girls doing it with you. It's the best feeling ever."
