Fifth Harmony: 'People will see us in a more vulnerable, exposed light'

Girl group Fifth Harmony recently sat down for an incredibly honest and revealing interview with Billboard magazine and they have taken over the publication's Instagram page today to tell fans what the opportunity meant to them.

Songstress Lauren Jauregui explained that being on the cover of such an iconic magazine is a great honour:

"Such an incredible honour to be featured on the same cover so many of my musical influences have graced before us. Thank you @billboard for believing in our music and message."

Camila Cabello added that she was really excited when the shoot and interview were booked: "Billboard is one of the most prestigious sources in the music industry and has been so supportive and amazing to us throughout our entire careers. Being on the cover is an honour and I freaked out when I found out! I'm so thankful that they gave us the opportunity."

Dinah Jane Hansen revealed that the Billboard interview was particularly important to them because it's so honest and raw: "It was so exciting to be very raw and natural for this project on all levels. ' like never before (coincidentally it mirrors the album in that way)."

In the interview, Hansen spoke candidly about how the group's tour schedule meant that she missed her grandmother's funeral and it's nothing short of heartbreaking to read: "I love touring, but the schedule traumatised me. I was like, 'What kind of job are we doing?' I watched my great-grandmother being buried on FaceTime. We're all so family-oriented, and we've all lost people on the road."
