Lauren Jauregui took home the coveted prize of International Icon at the British 2017 DIVA 250 Awards last night (March 23). 

The Fifth Harmony star had been up against Ellen DeGeneres, Ruby Rose, Kristen Stewart, Samira Wiley and Tegan and Sara. 

The DIVA 250 Awards was hosted by 'L Word' actress Rachel Shelley.

The ceremony took place in the UK capital of London at Café de Paris and paid tribute to the lesbian, bisexual, trans and queer people who have made a difference to the world.

Jauregui has used her celebrity to bring attention to important issues such as immigration, human rights, sexism, homophobia, racism, and empowering female fans worldwide. She has been a massive advocate for immigration over the past year and says that she will continue her activism through the use of social media and discussions.

The beauty recently inspired women universally when she said that "being active with other badass empowering women" makes her heart glow.
