Foo Fighters favourites to headline Glastonbury Festival

Foo Fighters are the new favourite to headline next year's Glastonbury Festival.

The event is due to return to Worthy Farm in the summer and a host of acts are rumoured to headline.

Bookmaker William Hill, however, have now installed US rockers Foo Fighters as the new favourites to top the bill.

They are now placed at 8/11 to headline the Pyramid Stage.

A spokesperson said: "There’s a real gamble on for Foo Fighters to play at Glastonbury, but at this stage it looks like a combination of hopeful fans and those following the rumour-mill. Perhaps given the weight of money we’ve seen, there may be some truth in the rumours."

Foo Fighters are due to release new album 'Sonic Highways' on November 10.

Fleetwood Mac are second favourites to headline Glastonbury, with AC/DC and Muse also in the mix.
