Foo Fighters big winners at the 2011 Classic Rock awards

Foo Fighters were among the big winners at last night's (November 9) Classic Rock awards ceremony, which took place at London's famous Roundhouse venue.

The 'All My Life' rock icons, who previously headlined The Roundhouse in a special performance that saw Dave Grohl call out a fan for "fighting" in the crowd, won the coveted Band of the Year prize beating tough competition from Metallica and Iron Maiden.

Jeff Beck won the impressive Living Legend Award, Queen won Reissue of the Year for their 5 repackaged albums and Manic Street Preachers were given the Classic Songwriter title. The Manics said of their win:

"Unbelievable we won the classic songwriter award didnt know what to say- james not here+sean hid xxx"
