Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl: 'I have a crazy idea for our next record'

Back in October 2012, Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl announced that the band had begun a hiatus, but he has now revealed that they're already writing for a possible new album.

The frontman is currently in Texas for a special screening of his documentary, "Sound City: Real to Reel", at the South By Southwest Film Festival and told Billboard that he has a vision for the band's next album:

"When we start working on a record, what I've found is we work best at our own pace, and sometimes it happens quickly and sometimes it takes awhile." He explained that he has "a crazy idea of what I want to do with the next record and how we record it. It's not conventional. It won't be a conventional record."

Foo Fighters' drummer, Taylor Hawkins, added that the record is currently just "sort of a germ in Dave's head at this point. He says he's got a lot of ideas. We haven't really gotten down to brass tacks. I don't know what the path will be. It's always a little different, which is good."
